Unit converter

Read a dimension in another unit, while keeping the original specification.

Numbers only. M36, DN, NPS, thread names and material grades are specification identities. This tool does not convert them, select a replacement or approve a design.
Choose a quantity and enter a value

Use a decimal point or e notation, for example 25.4 or 2.54e1. Do not append units or use thousands separators. Your original value is never replaced with a rounded result.

JavaScript is needed to calculate. No result has been calculated.

Use your device’s Copy command after selecting. Keep the original specification alongside this conversion in any project enquiry. Nothing is submitted or saved by this tool.

Calculation basis, range and limitations

output = input × source factor / target factor; factors use the same base unit

Significant digits; nearest, with exact halves away from zero. Display precision is not measurement accuracy.

Up to 24 significant digits and 64 characters; decimal point or e notation, no commas or appended units. Base-unit magnitude: zero or 1e-12 to 1e12 m, kg or Pa. These are tool limits, not engineering limits.

SI prefixes use powers of ten. The pressure factors use standard gravity only to define pound-force; they do not assume a site pressure or convert gauge to absolute pressure. No tolerances, loading, material properties or availability are inferred.
